WENT TO THE NORTHERN STUDIES PHOTOGRAPH DAY - THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT.THE AUDIENCE WAS FULL OF ACADEMICS AND PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS WHICH MADE THE  DISCUSSION AND TALKS INTERESTING AND ENLIGHTENING.  PARTICULARLY  INTERESTING WERE SOME DISCUSSION AROUND BRANDT AND HIS YORKSHIRE PHOTOGRAPHS, AN INTERESTING INTRODUCTION  (FOR ME) TO AMBER/SIDE GALLERY, UP IN NEWCASTLE, AND A MANCHESTER ARTPHOTO GROUP THAT PUBLISHES PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTISTS WORK ON THE WEB AND IS ALSO A WORKING ORGANISATION FOR NORTHERN PHOTOGRAPHERS TO DISPLAY AND SELL ECT.

I SHALL LOOK UP THE ADDRESS AND POST IT SHORTLY

hi folks
just a line to let you know this is my college blog site.

news today
I have bought some light strips for my light-box (4) - they cost £6 each plus vat.  I also bought some lighting that will be useful in my displaying of my work.  I bought them from Falcon Electrics on Regent Street.  It was a place recommended by Roger (woodwork tutor)- little bit of discount if you mention him.
i am going to the museum tomorrow for  a study day of photography, organised by  the  Northern Studies department at LMU it should be useful for observations as far as the presentation in the galleries are concerned
